3 Double Bedrooms, Master on-suite also with Balcony Grenada is a beautiful island, with Rainforest and sandy beaches in the South, waterfalls etc etc. Population is around 100,000 very friendly people with a low crime rate and high family values. The 'rainy' season lasts from June to October but temperatures rarely drop below 25c and humidity is higher than the rest of the year, when temperatures reach 30-32c and generally there is a nice breeze. No nasties (snakes, spiders etc), just a few mossies and it is daylight for 12-13 hours each day. To get there :- From Gatwick, scheduled flights by Virgin, Monarch or BA. Flights generally 9 ish and arrive late afternoon local time (4 -5 hours behind UK) Cost in October/November per person Economy around £450 (Monarch), £715 (Virgin). Car Hire :- You need a car - driving on the left as in England. The roads are windy and you can explore all over the island. Recommend a jeep type - if your party is 6 then you can rent a 7 seater vehicle. A 4WD 5 door Vitara is around US$340 per week (around £225) - you must take your UK licence including the Paper section to get a local licence from the Car Hire company. Eating in :- Couple of Supermarkets in Grand Anse, otherwise local fruit & veg sold at roadside stalls or local shops. The Kitchen is fully equipped. Milk only available from the IGA supermarket. Eating out :- Local Restaurants are cheap good local food - for example see:- http://www.grenadaexplorer.com/tip/littledipper/ around £25 for 2 including drinks.
